This family-run German company invented the world’s first portable electric drill. If you see it you might question the word portable.
By modern standards it is a beast. Today Fein is best known for its oscillating multi-tool.
This tool is now out of patent and has been widely copied and there are now many cheaper version out there but it is fair to say it has not been improved upon. If you can afford it then we believe it is still the one to have.
Fein has built on this brand reputation by making a range of other Fein power tools, mostly cordless drills. They are of similar high quality but not cheap.
A close comparison would be Festool in terms of quality and price.
Fein were a little unhappy at being left out of our 18 volt drill test because they tell us they think they would have won it but now we have established better lines of communication we will be testing plenty of their tools in the future. Fein times are just around the corner.
